Memorial Content Policy
This policy explains what can and cannot be posted on Memorial Garden, and how we moderate content to protect families and visitors.
Last updated: 13 May 2026
1. Respectful remembrance standard
Memorial Garden exists for remembrance, comfort, and family care. Memorials, tributes, images, video, audio, and comments should be truthful, respectful, lawful, and appropriate for grieving families.
2. Content that is allowed
- Names, dates, photographs, stories, milestones, and memories shared respectfully.
- Tributes, condolences, prayers, reflections, and relationship details that are kind and appropriate.
- Family-approved media and life-story content that the uploader has the right to share.
- Sensitive details only where they are necessary, respectful, and shared with appropriate authority or permission.
3. Content that is not allowed
- Fake memorials, impersonation, misleading claims of family authority, or false claims about a person's death.
- Harassment, bullying, abuse, threats, intimidation, hate, or content targeting bereaved people.
- Private information about living people, children, addresses, medical details, family disputes, or funeral arrangements without appropriate permission.
- Graphic, exploitative, shocking, or sensational content about death, illness, accidents, violence, or funerals.
- Content encouraging self-harm, suicide, violence, terrorism, criminal activity, fraud, scams, or exploitation.
- Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, or any illegal sexual content.
- Copyright-infringing photos, video, music, writing, or other media.
- Spam, advertising, fundraising misuse, malicious links, malware, scraping, or automated abuse.
4. Living-person privacy
Even where a memorial is about someone who has died, content may affect living relatives, friends, visitors, and contributors. Do not post personal information about living people without permission, especially information about children, addresses, phone numbers, health, finances, disputes, allegations, or private family matters.
5. Rights to media
You must only upload photographs, video, audio, writing, music, documents, or other material that you own, have permission to use, or are legally entitled to share. We may remove content if we receive a credible copyright, privacy, or ownership complaint.
6. Moderation
- Hold a tribute or media item for review before publication.
- Reject, remove, hide, restrict, or restore content.
- Change visibility or temporarily restrict a memorial while a serious report is reviewed.
- Suspend or close accounts involved in serious or repeated breaches.
- Preserve records for safety, legal, moderation, or dispute purposes.
7. Reports
You can report memorials, tributes, media, or users for abuse, fake memorials, impersonation, privacy concerns, copyright, graphic content, hate, spam, illegal content, or other serious concerns. We review reports and take proportionate action based on the information available.
